The Pace/2Wire Intelligent Network Interface Device (iNID) system consists of following components:
A battery is provided when U-verse Voice is ordered as a back-up in the event of a power outage. The iNID extends the footprint/reach of U-verse TV, HSI, and voice services out to 5500 feet at no cost to the customer.
Customers provisioned with iNID service must have two three-prong grounded outlets available. The CRM Address Validation screen displays the Priority Network Type of FTTN-BP, indicating the address is Fiber to the Node (FTTN) Bonded Pair (BP), which means the iNID equipment will be installed.
The iNID unit should be left at the Living Unit (LU) when the customer moves.
