When the service tech changed out my cable-connected uVerse to the wireless version, he quietly removed the Belkin back-up battery. He didn't mention it. Funny, if disposal was MY responsibility, eh? Now the service drops out a few times every day with the Arris NVG589 wireless gateway, which, I just discovered, was installed with its backup battery chamber EMPTY.
ReplyDeleteI had asked the second tech who came here to service this setup, after initial installation, about battery backup--and she said something vague about "not necessary, it's internal"--so I didn't pursue it further. I finally opened the battery chamber myself to find it empty. So now I'm going to have to spend $40 to order their backup battery. This had better clean up the service via this system.
