IP-DSL customers are served on the U-verse Lightspeed Platform with the U-verse High Speed Internet Access (HSI) and Voice brand. This enables us to extend "U-verse like" offerings in locations where we do not offer U-verse service today.
Notes:
U-verse Voice over IP-DSL is available in the following regions:
East: Connecticut area only
Southeast and North Central
South Central: Effective November 12, 2012
West: Effective April 1, 2013
Currently, Full Tech Install (FTI) is the only installation type for the U-verse Voice over IP-DSL product.
When a customer orders HSI/Voice they do not call it by, or need to know it by, any other name. Only internally do we call this IP-DSL.
Customer receives a U-verse bill.
Agents can easily identify an IP-DSL customer, because at the top of CRM Clarify IPDSLAM shows in red letters.

Note: U-verse HSI and IP-DSL customers with 12Mbps, 18Mbps, or 24Mbps speeds using Windows XP operating system (OS) are likely to experience slow browser responses to certain popular sites (e.g., Google, YouTube, Yahoo!). This is due to Windows XP's inability to properly adjust its TCP/IP settings. All other OS (i.e., Vista, Windows 7, Mac 10.0 and higher) automatically optimize TCP/IP settings based on responses from the Internet.

Note: Customers migrating from traditional DSL to IP-DSL need to get a new CPE to work with IP-DSL service.
