AT&T Business Class E-mail

This article provides U-verse Business (Ubiz/U-biz) Care agents with the basic e-mail setting information for customers who subscribe to the AT&T Business Class E-mail service that is sent to every new AT&T Business Class E-mail customer when they create their account. It is included here to avoid a transfer if the customer asks for this information.

Configuration of non U-verse e-mail accounts in mail client software is out of scope for U-verse Business Care agents. For additional information on Business Class E-mail service, see the appropriate contact number for AT&T Web Hosting at Contact Numbers and Speed Dial Codes U-verse Care.

Typical E-mail Settings

In the following examples [mydomain] is a placeholder and should be replaced with the actual domain name that the customer has registered for their AT&T hosted e-mail account when providing this information to the customer. The customer should not use the AT&T Yahoo! E-mail server settings for outgoing mail on non U-verse e-mail accounts.
  • E-mail address: [username]@[mydomain].com
  • Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: mail.[mydomain].com
  • Incoming mail (POP) server: mail.[mydomain].com
  • POP port: 110
  • SMTP Port: 1025
  • Disable Secured Sockets Layer (SSL)
Domain Name Information
When a customer registers their domain through AT&T Website Solutions, their domain name is automatically configured to use AT&T's nameservers and set to automatically renew every year. It can take up to 24 hours for Domain Name Server (DNS) to propagate and be available on the Internet.
If the customer's domain name was pre-registered elsewhere, they need to log in where they purchased their domain name to change the nameservers to the following:
  • 1st nameserver: ns1.att-websites.com
  • 2nd nameserver: ns2.att-websites.com
